Hi Tanzania. Thanks for your comment! I wouldn&#039;t recommend using any kInd of oil in place of butter when making pastry. The cold butter is what helps the dough to bind without using water. As the pastry cooks, the butter melts slowly, keeping the shell together and with a melt-in-the-mouth texture. Hope that helps.]]></description>
