I followed this recipe to the T and it came out awesomely deliciously fabulous. However, it took a bit longer than the said time to bake. This revoke is definitely for keeps and a fabulous dessert for a gathering. Thank you Sanjana

I had left a comment before but it wasn’t published?

Anyway: this recipe is great!
I was initially worried because the batter is very liquidy when mixed. But I gave it a chance and it baked up perfectly.
I love that you use weights to get a perfect result, not cups/spoons as measures. Also, this is one of the few recipes that actually recreate the gulab jamun flavour in a cake, instead of just making a plain cake and sticking cut up gulab jamuns on it as some other bloggers do.
When I make it again, I think I will make a little extra syrup and turn the cake upside down back in the bundt pan and poke holes in the bottom and drizzle the syrup there too.

You are one of my favorite home chefs.I was just soo excited about the concept of gulab jamun cake, I was just searching on google for an appropriate egg less recipe and I found your blog. Everyone here has said it already but wow – what a show stopper. Never been a fan of eggless cakes but this was beyond amazing. Made for hubby dearest on his birthday and I have set the bar high for all other cakes. Perfect quantity no need for fancy equipment and grandma (Ba) endorsed!!!
